Near Protocol Bolsters Ecosystem with Stablecoin Payments and AI Integration
Near Protocol expands its ecosystem to include AI and payments through partnerships with Oracle and SVRN. The companies have developed a proof of concept for stablecoin payments on Oracle Simphony, which processes over 6.3 billion transactions annually.
The system settles payments on Near and aims for checkout times under three seconds. This integration connects with Near's growing AI strategy, with Near AI Cloud recently becoming a provider on OpenRouter and making its models available through the platform.
The proof of concept uses delegated authorization, which enables one account to operate on behalf of another. Oracle chose Near for fast processing, lower fees per transaction, and the ability to settle on various chains via Near Intents.
