Near Protocol Deploys Gas Keys on Mainnet
Near Protocol has announced that gas keys are now live on its mainnet. This new type of access key can pre-fund its own gas and support up to 1,024 parallel nonce sequences from a single key.
This means that builders can cover their own transaction fees with each key while submitting transactions in parallel from one access point. The need for coordinating separate keys is reduced, supporting workloads such as autonomous agents and high-throughput applications.
The announcement confirms the availability of gas keys on mainnet but does not demonstrate how widely builders will use this capability or what effect it will have on application activity.
