Near Protocol Rally Faces Critical Test as Volatility Rises
Near Protocol ($NEAR) has experienced a remarkable surge in recent months, rising from around $1.60 in August to over $5.00. However, the latest daily price movements suggest that the most significant gains may already be behind the token, as it now enters a period of volatile consolidation.
$NEAR is currently trading near $5.16 after recovering from a recent dip. A notable development is the reversal from approximately $4.70, where buyers aggressively stepped in to prevent further declines. This action produced a sequence of higher intraday lows and a return above the $5.00 mark.
The bullish structure of $NEAR remains intact, but the token has faced multiple rejections near the $5.00 level, indicating strong resistance. A daily close above $5.60 would be a significant breakthrough, potentially opening the door to a move toward $6.00 and beyond.
Momentum has cooled slightly after reaching extreme levels during the rally, with the daily RSI retreating from overbought territory but now beginning to climb again. The moving-average structure remains strongly bullish, though the token is heavily extended from its longer-term trend, increasing the risk of sharp corrections.
$4.60 is now a critical support level. A breach of this level could weaken the recent reversal and expose $4.20, followed by the rising short-term moving average. Conversely, holding above $5.00 and breaking through $5.60 would confirm buyer control.
