NEAR Surges to Near-Record Gains Amid Ongoing Rally

Near Protocol (NEAR) is nearing a 200% year-to-date gain after experiencing another significant surge in September. According to recent performance data, NEAR has increased by approximately 198.4% so far.

Short-term figures show even more aggressive growth, with the asset increasing by 43.6% in just one week and 142.8% over the previous month. Over three months, NEAR rose roughly 150.4%, while six-month returns are around 285%.

The token consolidated between $1.60 and $2.00 for most of July and August before gaining momentum in September. NEAR broke through the $2.50-$2.60 range, then surged past $3.00, $4.00, and $4.50 in a matter of sessions, peaking at around $4.80.

The trend remains strong, with major moving averages pointing upward. However, NEAR is significantly extended after practically doubling in value over a short period. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) has entered overbought territory, and recent candles indicate rising volatility between $4.50 and $4.80, with recurring upper wicks at $4.80 indicating sellers are starting to appear.
