Neutron Blockchain Attack May Have Compromised Astroport Admin Privileges

A security incident on the Neutron blockchain has raised concerns about the potential compromise of administrator privileges for Astroport's smart contracts.

The attack, which began on September 22, led to a halt in chain operations by Neutron as it investigated the incident. Astroport warned users to withdraw liquidity from all its liquidity pools across multiple Cosmos-based networks as a precautionary measure.

The available information does not confirm that all Astroport contracts or user funds were compromised, but a possible compromise of administrator privileges could allow attackers to change contract settings or affect assets held in liquidity pools. Neutron and Cosmos Hub validators temporarily halted block production to mitigate potential losses.
