Nexo Adds XRP as Collateral for Zero-Interest Credit Loans
Nexo has expanded its Zero-interest Credit product to include XRP as collateral, allowing holders to borrow USDT or USDC without paying interest or selling their tokens.
The product uses a 30% loan-to-value ratio and sets the minimum threshold at 5,000 XRP. Borrowers can receive up to $5 million in stablecoins for a fixed term ranging from five days to 12 months.
Nexo's Zero-interest Credit has no margin calls or liquidation during the agreed loan term, even if the price of XRP falls sharply. However, users who enable stablecoin repayment may settle with USDT or USDC at maturity and retain their XRP if the price remains within the specified repayment range.
The addition gives XRP holders another way to access liquidity without initially selling their tokens, creating a new financial use for the asset outside of trading.
