NFT Sales Plummet 23% as Panini America Soars 557%
NFT sales declined by 23.48% to $40.88 million over the past week, according to data from CryptoSlam. Despite this drop, Panini America experienced a significant surge in sales, increasing by 557.53%. Courtyard retained the top spot among collections with $7.31 million in sales.
The increase in trading addresses and transactions came alongside lower dollar sales volume. Seller addresses rose 31.99% to 197,297 during the seven-day period ending Oct. 3. Ethereum led the way in NFT sales with $17.08 million, followed by Polygon with $8.21 million.
Courtyard's success on Polygon is notable, with the collection accounting for approximately 17.9% of global NFT sales and 89% of Polygon's recorded sales volume. Its digital collectibles represent physical assets held in custody, with vaulted cards stored in the United States and redeemable worldwide.
The broader cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at approximately $2.98 trillion, with Bitcoin listed at around $84,638 and Ethereum at approximately $2,676.
