NIP Group, a company known for its gaming and esports ventures, has struck a $27.3 million deal to acquire Bitcoin mining hardware. The agreement, announced on October 20, covers equipment already operational at hosting facilities, adding approximately 4.47 exahashes per second (EHps) to NIPG’s mining capacity. The company will issue up to 247.1 million Class A ordinary shares to the sellers, valuing the equipment at $6.12 per terahash.
Upon completion, this deal will bring NIPG’s total mining capacity to around 13.85EHps across three transactions. The company forecasts producing 195 Bitcoin per month at full deployment, though this depends on network difficulty, global hashrate, and operating conditions. Carl Agren, COO of NIPG Mining and Digital Assets, highlighted that the new assets are immediately operational and will integrate seamlessly into the existing framework.
The deal is subject to closing conditions, with completion expected within ten business days after those are met. Hicham Chahine, co-CEO of NIP Group, emphasized the company’s rapid execution of its digital infrastructure strategy. He noted that scaling the hashrate to nearly 14 EHps solidifies NIPG’s position in the Bitcoin mining space while generating revenue to support broader transformation efforts, including entry into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
NIPG’s first mining acquisition closed on September 5, 2025, adding 3.11EHps and issuing approximately 119.6 million Class A ordinary shares. In January 2026, the company reported that its initial fleet produced 151.4 Bitcoin during its first operating period, covering September through November 2025. The Abu Dhabi-headquartered company oversees the esports team Ninjas in Pyjamas, known for its competitive gameplay in Counter Strike 2 and League of Legends.
