North Korea Steals Millions Through Fake Job Interviews and Crypto Hacks
The North Korean government has been using fake IT job interviews to steal millions of dollars in cryptocurrency. This method allows them to gain access to sensitive information and funds from unsuspecting victims.
According to reports, the regime's hacking unit uses social engineering tactics to trick individuals into providing login credentials for their crypto wallets. Once inside, they can transfer funds out of the victim's account and into their own.
The North Korean government has been accused of using this tactic since 2015, with estimates suggesting that they have stolen over $1 billion in cryptocurrency. This includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other altcoins.
