North Korean Hackers Steal $10.7 Million Through Sophisticated Campaign

North Korean hackers have stolen approximately $10.7 million in funds and credentials through a sophisticated campaign called WaterPlum, also known as Contagious Interview.

The attackers impersonated recruiters and tricked developers into running malicious code during technical assessments, compromising over 30,000 devices across 100 countries and affecting more than 7,000 cryptocurrency wallets.

Security experts emphasize the importance of verifying recruiters through official company channels and avoiding unfamiliar code to prevent similar attacks in the future.
