NOWPayments Unveils Blockchain Network Performance Benchmarks

Financial technology firm NOWPayments has released new data comparing the performance of various blockchain networks for enterprise payouts. The analysis spans six months and covers TRON, BNB Chain, Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum.

The data highlights distinct operational advantages depending on transfer priorities. For high-frequency payouts, BNB Smart Chain led with 48.23% of transactions, while TRON moved the largest share of value at 43.69% of volume.

When speed is crucial, Solana took the top spot with an average payout time of 1 minute and 45 seconds. However, this does not necessarily translate to wider usage, as BNB Smart Chain handled more individual transfers despite carrying less value.

Kate Lifshits, Commercial Director at NOWPayments, emphasized that businesses should prioritize specific needs over benchmarking networks based on a single metric.

The company also highlighted the importance of evaluating payment infrastructure beyond just blockchain networks. For instance, sending payouts to ChangeNOW Pro wallets through NOWPayments can be done with no network or service fees within the ecosystem.
