Nvidia and Nike have joined the growing list of companies objecting to tokenized versions of their shares trading on the ICE-OKX venue, bringing the total number of objectors to 50. The venture, a joint effort between the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) owner Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and crypto exchange OKX, initially proposed tokenizing shares from 62 companies. Notable objectors include Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan, Broadcom, Verizon, Intel, and Walmart, among others.

The ICE-OKX venture plans to operate under a temporary exemption from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), allowing it to trade tokenized U.S. stocks without registering as an exchange. Trading would be available 24/7, with each stock paired against stablecoins like USDC and USDT. Transactions would occur through automated liquidity pools on OKX's X Layer blockchain, built on Uniswap v4. Only wallets holding a special access token issued by the venue would be permitted to trade.

Uniswap (UNI) was trending on Stocktwits at the time of reporting, with its price up by 3% in the past 24 hours. Retail sentiment around UNI shifted from 'neutral' to 'bullish,' while chatter remained at normal levels.
