Nvidia Certifies Top Companies for AI Factory Power and Cooling
Nvidia has launched its DSX Ready qualification program, aiming to certify third-party power and cooling products for use in its AI factory reference designs. The company has already certified several companies, including Tesla, Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution, Vertiv, LG Electronics, and LiquidStack.
The certification framework evaluates products across two categories: battery energy storage systems (BESS) and cooling distribution units (CDUs). For the BESS category, partners submit test data that Nvidia evaluates against its reference design specifications. CDU qualification follows a self-certification model.
Nvidia's DSX Ready program positions the company as the architect of the entire AI data center stack, not just the compute layer. By standardizing the evaluation of power and cooling components, Nvidia aims to reduce friction in sales conversations and make it easier for customers to assemble an AI factory to its specifications.
