NYSE and Blockchain.com Team Up on Tokenized Stocks

Share

NYSE and Blockchain.com have signed an agreement to bring tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs to Blockchain.com's 44 million-plus users.

The deal, announced on September 23, would allow users to trade these assets through NYSE's planned digital alternative trading system (ATS), which is currently still awaiting regulatory approvals.

Blockchain.com's executive chairman, CEO, and co-founder Peter Smith described tokenized stocks as 'one of the most impactful advancements in the modern financial landscape' and argued that geography and brokerage access shouldn't dictate who can own stocks.

The agreement also includes a data-sharing plan, where ICE Data Services will distribute Blockchain.com's crypto market data and analytics to traditional finance customers, while selected NYSE and ICE equity feeds would flow into Blockchain.com's app.
