NYSE Eyes 24/7 Trading with Tokenized Securities Venue
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is working on a tokenized securities venue that could allow for continuous trading and settlement of stocks, rather than the traditional T+1 basis.
Avalanche has emerged as one of the infrastructure candidates to power this platform, with NYSE's parent company Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) citing its performance and interoperability as key requirements.
However, experts warn that the harder challenge will be achieving liquidity outside of US market hours, as the existing equity market concentrates enormous liquidity into established sessions.
