NYSE Taps Blockchain.com for Tokenized Stocks in 24/7 Digital Trading Venue

Share

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has partnered with Blockchain.com to offer tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through its planned digital trading venue, which will operate 24/7.

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals, but if successful, it would bring Wall Street directly to the Blockchain.com app, allowing users to trade outside traditional market hours and enjoy faster settlement times.

Tokens are blockchain-based representations of shares, enabling fractional ownership and potentially opening up investment opportunities for a wider audience.

The NYSE's digital trading venue is being built as an Alternative Trading System (ATS), which operates outside traditional exchanges. The partnership with Blockchain.com gives the NYSE access to its vast user base across 70 jurisdictions.
