OCEAN, a leading Bitcoin mining pool, and Luke Dashjr have parted ways. The two companies announced their separation in a joint statement, citing differing visions for the future of Bitcoin mining following recent protocol developments.

Luke Dashjr, who co-founded the OCEAN pool, has resigned as Chairman, Chief Technology Officer, and director at OCEAN. He will now pursue a new venture called CONVOY Mining (@CONVOY_Mining), which aims to continue the mission of decentralizing Bitcoin mining.

OCEAN has repurchased all of Luke Dashjr's equity, allowing the company to move forward without his involvement. This separation reflects the parties' differing views on how to proceed with Bitcoin mining in light of recent changes to the protocol.
