OG.com Seeks CFTC Approval for Single-Stock Perpetual Futures Contracts
OG.com Markets is seeking approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer perpetual futures contracts tied to individual U.S. stocks.
The proposed contracts would be cash-settled, have no expiration date, and trade 24 hours a day, five days a week.
This move aims to bring crypto-style derivatives into the U.S. equity markets and follows similar submissions from other companies, including Coinbase and Kraken's parent company Payward through its Bitnomial exchange.
The CFTC has been reviewing perpetual contracts case by case since May and approved KalshiEX's Bitcoin (BTC)-linked BTCPERP contract on May 29.
