OG.com Seeks CFTC Approval for Stock-Linked Perpetual Futures
OG.com Markets has filed with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to offer cash-settled perpetual futures tied to individual stocks, aiming to bring 'perps' to U.S. equity derivatives.
The proposed contracts would be available for trading 24 hours a day, five days a week, without expiration dates and requiring traders to roll into new instruments.
This development is part of a broader trend where trading platforms and prediction market firms are exploring the possibility of adapting perpetual futures models to U.S. equities.
The CFTC has already begun work on clarifying how perpetual contracts can be reviewed, having established a case-by-case review process in May and approved Kalshi's Bitcoin perpetual futures product.
