Oil Price Pullback Brings Temporary Relief for Bitcoin
Bitcoin stabilized above $77,000 over the weekend after oil prices pulled back from their recent surge. The decline in crude oil prices eased pressure on risk assets, leading to a rebound in Bitcoin and other markets.
Brent crude oil reversed course to settle at $104.61 per barrel, down from its peak of $109.97 on Friday. West Texas Intermediate closed at $100.05, but still finished the week up over 8% due to ongoing concerns over supply disruptions in the Middle East.
Despite the relief provided by the oil price pullback, industry leaders caution that risks remain. Chevron CEO Mike Wirth warned that global crude inventories and emergency stockpiles have largely been depleted, leaving markets exposed to fresh supply shocks.
