Share

The Indonesian financial regulator, OJK, has introduced new rules for certification of financial and crypto influencers. The regulation, known as POJK Number 6 of 2026, aims to ensure that information providers have adequate competence and knowledge in the financial services sector.

Aloysia Dian, Chief Marketing Officer at INDODAX, welcomed the move, saying it's a positive development for the crypto industry. 'Influencers and content creators have become one of the main gateways for the public to get to know crypto assets,' she said.

The new regulation emphasizes that investment education and recommendations must be supported by adequate competence and prioritize consumer protection interests. OJK requires information providers or influencers to have certification of competence in the financial services sector.
