OKX, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has taken a significant step toward bringing Wall Street trading to the blockchain. The company filed a notification with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 4, 2026, through its joint venture with Intercontinental Exchange (ICE). The proposed platform, OKXICE LLC, aims to offer 24/7 trading of tokenized shares from 63 NYSE-listed companies, including tech giants like Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla.

The platform would use blockchain technology to create tokenized securities that carry shareholder rights, such as receiving direct cash dividends and voting on corporate matters. OKX and ICE formed their joint venture in June 2026, combining OKX’s digital-asset infrastructure with ICE’s expertise in traditional financial markets. Before trading begins, each listed company will have 30 days to object or opt out of having its shares offered on the platform.

The proposed market would operate around the clock, using permissioned Uniswap v4 liquidity pools deployed on XLayer. Tokenized stocks would be paired against stablecoins like USDC, USDG, or USDT. The move was described as “a major step forward for OKXICE” by former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who noted its potential to create “a truly global, 24/7 Wall Street.”

However, the platform would face regulatory limits under the SEC’s five-year “Innovation Exemption” framework. A tokenized venue can list up to 75 eligible stocks, and trading in an individual token cannot exceed 0.25% of that stock’s previous month’s total trading volume. The platform still needs to move through the regulatory process before tokenized U.S. stocks can officially start trading.
