OKX Seeks SEC Approval for Tokenized US Stock Trading Platform
OKX has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to launch a tokenized-stock trading platform, marking one of the first major crypto exchanges to take advantage of new US rules. The platform, operated by OKXICE LLC, a joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange Inc., aims to offer tokenized shares of 63 NYSE-listed companies. This move comes after the SEC introduced a new framework allowing digital versions of public-company shares to trade on crypto venues. Issuers have 30 days to opt out before trading can begin. The platform is expected to provide a new way for investors to access and trade US stocks using digital tokens.
