OKX Tightens EEA Trading Guidance Under MiCA

Share

OKX has updated its trading guidance for institutional users in the European Economic Area (EEA) to ensure compliance with the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.

The changes affect how eligible institutional accounts interact with supported fiat and stablecoin markets. OKX is continuing to adjust its European operating model around MiCA, with new guidance aimed at institutional users trading fiat and stablecoin pairs in the EEA.

MiCA creates different obligations for issuers, exchanges, and service providers, while stablecoins can carry their own regulatory requirements. This forces exchanges to make product-level decisions about what can be offered, to whom, and under which legal entity.
