OKXICE and ICE plan 24/7 tokenized stock trading on Uniswap v4
OKXICE, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) and OKX, is developing a tokenized stock trading venue using Uniswap v4 hooks. The project aims to bring blue-chip equities like Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla into permissioned DeFi pools, allowing 24/7 trading on OKX’s X Layer blockchain.
On October 4, 2026, OKXICE filed a public notice with the SEC, leveraging the Innovation Exemption issued on September 17, 2026. The planned Tokenized Securities Venue (TSV) will list over 60 US National Market System (NMS) stocks, paired with stablecoins. Uniswap v4 hooks will enable custom compliance controls, including non-transferable soulbound tokens (SBTs) for KYC/AML verification.
OKXICE retains administrative control over the system, with the ability to create pools, pause trading, and upgrade contracts. Trading could begin as early as November 2026, pending a 30-day objection window. However, Cerebras has already objected to the filing, creating uncertainty.
The collaboration between ICE and OKX, following ICE’s $25 billion investment in OKX in March 2026, combines regulatory expertise with blockchain technology. If successful, the TSV could revolutionize stock trading by offering round-the-clock access, while also validating Uniswap v4’s hook architecture for regulated environments.
