HBO host John Oliver devoted an episode of Last Week Tonight to Donald Trump's expanding crypto business, questioning the blurred line between politics and private profit.

Olivier argued that Trump's crypto ventures have become the biggest source of wealth for his family, surpassing their traditional real estate and hotel businesses. He claimed that Trump earned over $2.2 billion during his first year back in the White House, with nearly $1.4 billion coming from crypto-related businesses.

Olivier criticized Trump's meme coin projects, comparing them to classic 'pump-and-dump' schemes. The token briefly reached a market valuation of nearly $50 billion before crashing by about 92%. Despite this, Oliver claimed that Trump personally made around $636 million from the project.
