Oman Cracks Down on Unlicensed Crypto Mining

Share

Oman has issued a warning to companies and individuals involved in selling or supplying cryptocurrency mining equipment to unlicensed operators.

The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion detected cases where equipment was being sold or supplied without proper licenses, permits, and approvals.

Sellers are now prohibited from completing transactions involving cryptocurrency mining equipment unless the buyer is legally authorized to conduct such activities.

Suppliers must verify before sale that the purchaser has secured all required licenses, permits, and approvals.
