On-Chain IPOs Poised to Shake Up Traditional Finance

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao has predicted that IPOs (Initial Public Offerings) will inevitably move on-chain, which could disrupt traditional Wall Street practices. On-chain IPOs would allow companies to represent shares as digital tokens on a blockchain, streamlining the process and enabling investors to obtain ownership records instantly.

The growth of tokenized equity markets is evident in Binance's bStocks platform, which has reached a market capitalization of over $500 million since its launch in June. The platform currently holds 56 tokens, with SNDKB, SPCXB, MUB, CRCLB, and SOXLB having the largest allocations.

The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is also entering the digital asset infrastructure market by planning to introduce tokenized UK equities. This move could change how stock markets operate by enabling 24/7 trading and near-instant settlement, while improving liquidity and lowering costs.
