Ondas Inc. Expands Defense Portfolio with $56M Acquisitions

Ondas Inc., the company behind several defense and autonomous systems technologies, has made significant strides in expanding its portfolio through strategic acquisitions. For a combined consideration of $56 million, Ondas acquired Insignito, Ottopia Defense, and Caribou Labs.

The deal is expected to bolster Ondas' capabilities across drone detection, resilient communications, navigation, and remote unmanned operations. The acquired technologies are already used in conflict environments and are poised for near-term mission integration with Ondas' existing platforms, sensors, software, and mission systems.

One of the key additions is Insignito's passive acoustic system, which detects drones through their sound signatures without transmitting radio-frequency or electromagnetic signals. This technology will be paired with radar, radio-frequency, and electro-optical sensors to provide an independent detection layer for Ondas' counter-unmanned aircraft systems offering.

Ottopia Defense brings its software and communications infrastructure for unmanned platforms, remote operators, and command centers. Its technology enables resilient connections even in harsh or bandwidth-constrained environments, supporting remote control when battlefield connectivity becomes unreliable or disrupted.
