Ondo and BlackRock Bring Professional Portfolios Onchain
Ondo Finance has launched its new onchain product category, Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, in collaboration with BlackRock. The three initial portfolio tokens are based on strategies developed by BlackRock for Ondo and offer eligible non-US investors exposure to professionally designed portfolios delivered as single onchain tokens.
The launch marks the first time investors can access leading asset managers' strategies through a single token. Historically, diversified portfolio strategies required brokerage accounts and traditional fund structures. Now, these portfolios are accessible to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions through their wallets, exchanges, and DeFi applications.
Lisa O'Connor, Global Head of the Model Portfolio Solutions team at BlackRock, stated that 'tokenization creates new ways for portfolio strategies to be delivered through digital infrastructure.' The three custom portfolio tokens launched today are:
