Ondo Brings BlackRock Portfolio Strategies Onchain with Intelligent Portfolios
Ondo Finance has launched Ondo Intelligent Portfolios, a new onchain product category that brings portfolio strategies to eligible investors. The portfolios are powered by BlackRock and delivered as single onchain transferable tokens.
The three initial portfolio tokens are BLKHIon: Ondo High Income Powered by BlackRock, BLKDIGon: Ondo Diversified Growth Powered by BlackRock, and BLKGRWon: Ondo High Growth Powered by BlackRock. Each token provides economic exposure to the underlying basket of assets.
Ondo Intelligent Portfolios are designed to be accessible to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions through the wallets, exchanges, and DeFi applications they already use. The tokens can be minted or redeemed for a single onchain transferable token that represents a weighted basket of tokenized assets.
According to Lisa O'Connor, Global Head of the Model Portfolio Solutions team at BlackRock, 'tokenization creates new ways for portfolio strategies to be delivered through digital infrastructure.' Ian De Bode, Acting CEO and President of Ondo Finance, added, 'This launch represents an important milestone in the development of onchain investment products.'
