Ondo Crypto Surpasses $1 Billion in TVL as Tokenized Stock Platform Expands
Ondo Crypto has reached another significant milestone as its tokenized stock platform, Ondo Stocks, surpassed $1 billion in total value locked (TVL). This achievement comes less than a year after the platform's launch and marks a substantial increase from the $18 billion cumulative trading volume reported in May. The platform now offers over 440 tokenized stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) across Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.
Ondo Stocks allows holders to gain economic exposure to underlying securities, including dividends after tax withholding. However, it's essential to note that the tokens are not actual stocks or ETFs themselves. The platform has also expanded its reach, with certain Ondo Stocks trading as Digital Securities on Nest Exchange Limited in the United Arab Emirates.
Despite the growth of Ondo Crypto's tokenized-asset business, the price of ONDO remains relatively stable at around $0.38, with a market capitalization of approximately $1.86 billion and 24-hour volume of over $189 million. As the platform continues to expand its offerings and reach new markets, investors will be closely watching for signs of increased demand for ONDO itself.
It's worth noting that Ondo Crypto is subject to various jurisdictional restrictions, with certain tokens available only to qualified investors or professional clients in specific regions. Investors must review prospectus documents and other materials before making investment decisions, as access rules extend across major markets.
