Oneiro NA, Inc. has announced the launch of Revolution Network V2, a complete rebuild of its Ethereum Layer 2 solution focused on digital ownership and identity. The new version starts fresh on ZKsync OS, adopting open Ethereum standards and replacing the previous Libertas testnet. From the public testnet onward, every batch will include a validity proof from the Airbender prover, with transaction data published to Ethereum in blobs, allowing anyone to reconstruct the chain.
Revolution Network V2 introduces several key changes at the base layer, including standard Ethereum development tools like Solidity, Foundry, Hardhat, viem, and ethers, which work unchanged. The economics remain the same, with a total emission of 250 million REVO tokens over approximately ten years. The current status shows that the ZKsync OS stack, staking contract, smart accounts, and Cornerstone Paymaster are built and tested on a devnet, with 51 contract tests passing.
For existing Libertas holders, there is no immediate action required. At migration, Libertas will be frozen at a published block, and balances will be snapshotted and credited on V2. Names will transition from .rev to .revo, and Revolution Network will not ask for seed phrases or migration fees. The Virtus public testnet launch date will be announced separately, with developers able to sign up for details at revolutionnetwork.io/developers.
