OnePlus 16 Launches with 200MP Camera and High-Refresh Rate Display
OnePlus is preparing to launch its next flagship phone, the OnePlus 16. The device will feature a 200MP primary camera sensor, which measures 1/1.4 inches and has an f/1.6 aperture.
The 200MP camera will be paired with two additional 50MP cameras: a 3x periscope telephoto camera using Sony's IMX882 sensor, and a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 116-degree field of view.
The front camera is also expected to use a 50MP sensor, providing coverage across standard, zoom, and wide photography. OnePlus is adding several new modes for photography enthusiasts, including Master Mode, High-Pixel Mode, and a 65:24 Widescreen Mode.
The phone's performance could be another major upgrade, with reports indicating the use of Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. OnePlus has also confirmed a system-wide 165Hz refresh rate, which could reach up to 185Hz in certain conditions.
