Open Standard Launches Dollar-Backed Stablecoin Open USD on Four Blockchains
Open Standard launched its dollar-backed stablecoin, Open USD (OUSD), on September 30. The token is pegged to the US dollar at a 1:1 ratio and has no minting or burning costs across every integration path.
Developers can access OUSD through four separate integration routes, each offering APIs and tools for settlement, payment orchestration, trading, foreign exchange, wallets, and card issuance. Businesses can begin building with Mastercard, Stripe, and the Visa Stablecoin Platform immediately, with Coinbase access opening on October 1.
OUSD is natively supported on four blockchains: Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo. It will also become available across centralized and decentralized exchanges, starting with Coinbase, Kraken, and Uniswap, with additional venues expected over time.
