OpenPayd Aims for Nasdaq Listing by End of 2026
OpenPayd, a U.K.-based payments infrastructure firm, is moving toward a public listing on the Nasdaq by the end of 2026. The company's CEO, Iana Dimitrova, shared this update in an interview with CoinDesk, highlighting that OpenPayd is in the final stages of the SEC's review for its proposed merger with Titan Acquisition Corp. The deal is expected to close this year, pending no major disruptions.
The U.S. market has become increasingly attractive for crypto companies due to the establishment of rules for digital assets and stablecoins. The GENIUS Act has created a federal framework for payment stablecoins, while the SEC has proposed rules for certain crypto assets. This regulatory clarity is opening opportunities for companies like OpenPayd to sell payments infrastructure that bridges traditional finance and blockchain networks.
OpenPayd has integrated with Circle Payments Network for cross-border transactions and is part of Fireblocks's payments network, providing access to its fiat infrastructure. Dimitrova described OpenPayd as a "global infrastructure platform for modern money movement" and emphasized that it has no public market competitor with the same combination of fiat and stablecoin capabilities.
The Nasdaq listing will help finance OpenPayd's expansion into the U.S., with plans to launch services for customers there by April 2027. In a previous interview with PYMNTS, Dimitrova argued that modern payment infrastructure has become a business problem, not just a technical one, and that orchestration can provide the solution. She noted that businesses should focus on developing and selling their products rather than navigating payment infrastructure and regulations.
