OpenSea Reopens Solana NFT Trading Amid Market Decline

OpenSea has expanded its marketplace to include support for Solana NFT trading. This move gives users access to buy, sell, and trade digital collectibles issued on the Solana blockchain through OpenSea's rebuilt multi-chain platform OS2.

The integration builds on OpenSea's earlier April 2025 addition of Solana fungible token trading, which was followed by the promise of NFT support. The company first tested Solana NFTs in an April 2022 beta launch but failed to gain strong market share at that time.

Since then, the broader NFT market has declined significantly, with monthly volumes now standing at a few hundred million dollars compared to billions during the earlier boom.
