OpenWorld and VerifyMe Complete Business Combination to Establish Leading Tokenization Platform
OpenWorld and VerifyMe have completed their business combination, establishing a leading tokenization platform for digitizing real-world assets. The combined company will trade on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol 'OPNW' as of market open on October 1, 2026.
Matthew Shaw, a digital assets veteran, has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the combined entity. He brings extensive experience in co-founding multiple technology and crypto companies, including token projects.
The company aims to bring real-world asset tokenization capabilities on-chain, helping transform the cash flows of operating businesses and physical assets into investable financial products. Through OpenWorld Enterprise, the platform combines financial structuring and blockchain infrastructure for the development, issuance, and distribution of tokenized real-world assets for institutional investors.
Tokenizing real-world assets has the potential to shift how companies finance their operations and how investors access yield, according to Shaw.
