OpenWorld Enters Nasdaq as Publicly Traded Tokenization Company
OpenWorld, a digital-assets company, has completed its business combination with VerifyMe and began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker OPNW on October 1. The combined company is being led by digital-assets executive Matthew Shaw and is focusing on institutional-grade tokenization of real-world assets.
OpenWorld aims to digitize real-world assets, such as traditional securities, private assets, and blockchain settlement, rather than launching a single token or consumer trading app. This strategy positions the company at the intersection of traditional securities and blockchain settlement.
The company also plans to pursue a listing on Figure OPEN, a blockchain-based trading platform, by November 2026. This dual listing strategy reflects OpenWorld's commitment to building the infrastructure for tokenized assets.
