OpenZeppelin Brings Battle-Tested Security Tools to TRON Network

OpenZeppelin has launched its audited code base for the TRON network, providing developers access to battle-tested smart contract security tools. The integration includes two new npm packages: @openzeppelin/tron-contracts and @openzeppelin/tron-contracts-upgradeable. These packages adapt OpenZeppelin's established libraries for TRON-specific token standards like TRC-20 and TRC-721.

The code base has been recalibrated for compatibility with TRON's TVM, the network's virtual machine. This was done by implementing network-specific requirements to build trust within the TRON developer community, according to Pepe Blasco, OpenZeppelin's Engineering Manager.

The packages support integration with tools that Solidity developers already know: Hardhat, Foundry, and TronBox. OpenZeppelin has also provided resources aimed at easing contract migration for Solidity developers who want to deploy on TRON.
