Optimism Forecasts 2.504 Billion OP in Circulation by April 2027

Optimism Foundation has published its Year 4 budget update and Year 5 outlook. The forecast suggests that circulating supply will reach 2.504 billion OP by April 2027, which represents 58.3% of the total supply.

The increase in circulation is expected to come from various sources, including 200 million ecosystem tokens and 47.6 million contributor tokens entering circulation. However, there are no airdrops or Retro Funding releases forecasted for Year 5.

Optimism has committed roughly 150 million OP during Year 4, which is one third below the previous year's commitment of 229.92 million.
