OUSD Stablecoin Launches with Major Support from Coinbase and Others
Open Standard has launched its OUSD stablecoin, which is pegged to the US dollar and designed for global payments and settlement. The launch has support from major companies like Coinbase, Mastercard, Stripe, and Visa.
OUSD is live on four blockchains - Base, Ethereum, Solana, and Tempo - and will be available across centralized and decentralized trading venues. It's issued by Bridge, a Stripe company, with reserves held at BlackRock, Lead Bank, and BNY.
Open Standard aims to connect dollar-denominated digital assets with existing banking and payments systems. The project provides businesses with payment infrastructure that is faster and cheaper compared to traditional fiat-based systems.
