Pal vs Paulson: Two Billionaires Offer Divergent Crypto Predictions
Raoul Pal, a former hedge fund executive at Goldman Sachs and founder of RealVision, has made bold predictions about the future price of Bitcoin and Ether. He believes that by March 2022, Bitcoin will be worth between $250,000 and $400,000, while Ether could surge to unprecedented highs of $20,000.
Pal, who now runs RealVision, told the Bankless podcast that he has gone all in on cryptocurrencies, with 55% of his savings invested in Ether. He also holds a significant amount of DeFi tokens and social tokens, including Polkadot and other 'Ethereum killers'.
Pal justified his predictions by pointing to the increasing demand for Ether, which has led to a significant decrease in its available supply. He believes that this will result in an exponential rise in price, making his prediction of $20,000 for Ether seem plausible.
However, not everyone shares Pal's optimism. Billionaire John Paulson has warned that cryptocurrencies are a bubble and will eventually go to zero. He dismissed the asset class as 'a limited supply of nothing' and cautioned investors to be prepared to lose everything.
