Shiba Inu Burns $16,575 Worth of Tokens, Surging Burn Rate 1,395% in July
Shiba Inu's token burn campaign gained significant momentum in July, with community burn tracker Shibburn reporting that over 3.2 billion SHIB tokens left circulation during the month.
The ecosystem permanently removed 3,248,854,065 Shiba Inu tokens over the past 30 days, representing a $16,575 value at the time of the report.
This marked a 1,395% increase in burn rate compared with the previous 30-day period, according to Shibburn data.
The largest concentration of burn transactions occurred on July 8 and between July 25 and 28, indicating sustained community engagement throughout the month.
SHIB's price rallied nearly 40% during this time, briefly reaching $0.0000060 before sellers pushed it back below $0.000005.
The project also celebrated its sixth anniversary in August, having launched on August 1, 2020, as a meme-inspired cryptocurrency.
