SpaceX, also founded in 2002 by Elon Musk, is an American spaceflight, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence (AI) company. After going public last month, it disclosed holding 18,712 Bitcoin on its balance sheet as of December 31, 2025.
Bitcoin, launched in 2008, is a decentralized digital currency that allows people to send, receive, and store value without relying on a bank or central authority. The cryptocurrency research firm, 10x Research, believes each asset represents a different kind of stake on the global battle over state power.
