Palworld TCG Launch Marred by Scalper Frenzy
Pocketpair's Palworld Trading Card Game (TCG) has seen a chaotic start, with scalpers already taking over. The game was released just one day ago, but prices on eBay have skyrocketed, with some cards selling for four-figure amounts.
The Cattiva card, which originally sold for $4,000, is now available at $999, showing a 75% collapse in price. This is not unusual, as the market typically sees a correction after the initial hype subsides. The first few weeks of a new TCG launch are often marked by panic-buying and FOMO (fear of missing out), driving up prices.
Pocketpair has already shifted 3.5 million packs by the start of July, but local card shops have likely sold through their initial stock, making it difficult for genuine collectors to obtain the cards they want.
