PancakeSwap's CAKE Token Surges to New High on Deflationary Gains
PancakeSwap's native token CAKE has experienced significant gains in recent days, surging 13.4% to reach a new high of $2.28, marking its first time above $2 since December 2025.
This price increase was accompanied by a substantial rise in trading volume, which climbed 112% to 110%, and turnover reached an all-time high of $25 million on CoinAnk data.
The deflationary mechanism implemented by the team has been instrumental in driving this rally, with CAKE recording 34 consecutive months of deflation. Since its peak in 2023, the supply of CAKE tokens has decreased by 53 million, representing a 14.5% reduction in market supply.
In addition to the deflationary measures, investor demand for CAKE remains strong, with Open Interest on derivatives markets rising 39% to $51 million and volume increasing 115% to $89 million, according to Coinglass data.
