Pantera Capital Sees Shift in Bitcoin Market Sentiment as Price Breaks Key Resistance
Pantera Capital has observed a significant shift in market behavior for Bitcoin. According to Cosmo Jiang, a portfolio manager at Pantera Capital, traders and funds are moving from short to long positions on Bitcoin as it broke above its 200-day moving average.
The 200-day moving average is a critical gauge for many systematic and macro-focused funds. The recent price recovery, which saw Bitcoin rally more than 23% over the past week, has contributed to the changing sentiment among market participants.
Jiang attributed the bullish catalyst to a combination of factors, including a friendlier regulatory environment in the United States and the expansion of U.S. Treasury buybacks of government bonds.
The shift in positioning suggests that institutional sentiment may be aligning with the recent price action. However, market conditions remain volatile, and the $80,000 resistance level represents a critical test.
