Patoshi Pattern: Researchers Refute 1.1 Million BTC Estimate

The long-standing estimate that Satoshi Nakamoto controls around 1.1 million BTC remains unproven, according to recent research.

Blockchain analysis can identify an early mining pattern associated with a single miner, but it cannot establish that the miner was Satoshi or determine who controls the corresponding private keys today.

Researchers have traced approximately 900,000 to 1.17 million BTC to the so-called 'Patoshi' mining pattern, a distinctive fingerprint found in Bitcoin's earliest blocks.

The connection between the Patoshi miner and Satoshi remains circumstantial, with no mathematical proof or direct witness establishing that they were the same person.
