Paxos has expanded its Crypto Brokerage platform by adding support for XRP trading and custody services for institutional clients. The integration went live on October 7, 2026, marking another step in broadening institutional access to digital assets.
XRP, a long-standing cryptocurrency launched in 2012, now joins Paxos' lineup of high-demand assets. The token boasts a market capitalization of nearly $95 billion and is held in over 8.1 million wallets, making it a strategic addition for the platform.
Paxos' asset roster has grown significantly this year, from 12 to between 25 and 29 supported assets. The company emphasizes a selective approach, focusing on compliance and regulatory standards as a national trust bank under the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
The key value Paxos offers is its regulated infrastructure, allowing financial institutions to integrate crypto services without navigating complex compliance challenges. This move is expected to benefit Paxos' partners by simplifying XRP offerings and may also attract retail investors through regulated channels.
